CVH has a complete IDEXX in house laboratory that enables us to perform pre-surgical, wellness and emergency blood work that is too critical to wait for an off-site laboratory service. Our testing capabilities include: (CBC) complete blood cell counts, blood chemistry, electrolytes, blood gas, acid base, ionized blood calcium and coagulation (bleeding profile) assessment.
Also available in house are urinalysis, fecal parasite testing, heartworm tests, feline retroviral testing (Felv/Fiv), parvovirus and giardia parasite testing.
We also perform complete allergy testing for pets that may have food, environmental, insect or plant allergies.
Our in house testing is augmented with referral laboratory testing performed by leading national laboratories. Some of the common tests offered include senior wellness, endocrine, thyroid and adrenal testing. Our referral labs also offer clinical cytology and pathology of tissues via board certified veterinary pathologists.
